The Pirate Party of Greece on The International Criminal Court’s Arrest Warrants Against Netanyahu and Gallant
The International Criminal Court’s arrest warrants against war criminals Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant may have been tragically overdue, but is still a welcome first step towards accountability and consistency in the application of International Law. For far too long, International Law has been viewed as not applicable to allies of the Global North. The issuance of these warrants finally sends the world a clear message that no state, no politician, regardless of flag, religion or race, is above and beyond the Law.
The Pirate Party of Greece has stood from the very beginning with the oppressed Palestinian people and with the families of the hostages that were illegally abducted by Hamas. We stand with Gaza; we stand with the Palestinians of the West Bank; we stand with the people of Lebanon and Syria; finally, we stand with the democratic Israelis and Jews suppressed and silenced by the criminal Netanyahu regime and its accomplices.
We welcome these arrest warrants, but still have to lament that they came too late. Too many civilians have been killed, maimed, displaced by the Israeli regime, as the corrupt, racist Netanyahu leveraged this campaign to stay out of jail for his corruption and his drive to erode the rule of law in Israel. Too many journalists, artists, academics have been silenced and targeted by the apparatchiks of the Israeli government. Too many aid workers and journalists have been murdered. With the blessings of the Global North.
All governments that want to be taken seriously when they claim to adhere to the principles of democracy, the rules-based order, equal treatment of everyone, regardless of nationality, race or creed, must uphold and honour these arrest warrants. Furthermore, all governments must stop enabling Israel to continue this genocide: no more exports of weapons of any kind; no more exports of dual-use items and technologies; no more funds; no more fuel; no more diplomatic or political cover.
Above all, we must denounce the outgoing government of the United States for its constant sabotaging of every attempt at a ceasefire and its enabling of this massacre. The excuses posed by its diplomats and representatives are insulting to every decent person’s intelligence. They have been gaslighting the international community for far too long. Their rejection of these arrest warrants shows clearly that they have decided to become a rogue state like Putin’s Russia in order to aid a corrupt apartheid regime. We unequivocally denounce every politician, every diplomat, every government that attempts to undermine the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.
Regarding the re-elected Donald Trump and his party, we condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the threats made by his party’s politicians against ICC member states, and especially the threats of military violence against the Netherlands. We stand in solidarity with the people of the Netherlands and demand that the EU Commission and all EU member states not only condemn these threats of military violence against an EU member state, but also take active measures to prevent the United States from carrying out these threats. The EU must make it plainly clear to the USA that it shall not tolerate threats of any kind against any of its member states.
True to our Pirate Ideology, we demand the equal application of International Law. We demand justice for all. We demand full accountability for every politician, every soldier, every diplomat, every corporation, every government. We demand an end to the selective application of the laws. We demand an end to the immunity and impunity of criminals who happen to be considered “allies” by a political elite known for its contempt towards justice and people of the “wrong” colour, faith, or origin.

On the 17th Council of the European Pirate Party
On the 23th and 24th of November 2024, the 17th Council of the European Pirate Party (PPEU) was organized in Prague. The collective that expresses and unites the glorious Pirate Movement, focusing on what really matters, decided to denounce the video game industry for its serial violation of Directives 93/13/EEC and 2011/83/EU: they abuse their position in their relationship with gamers by depriving them of access to the games they have bought, when they decide to stop supporting these games.
Exhibiting an impeccable sense of responsibility, the Council of the PPEU decided to defer discussion of a Resolution brought by the Pirate Party of Greece (PPGR) on the ongoing genocide in Gaza. After all, without a final verdict of a court of law, we cannot speak of genocide; this would violate Bibi’s presumption of innocence. Besides, such issues are too important for it to intervene hastily and under the influence of “tankies” and “far-left woke snowflakes”. Conversely, any discussion on the United Nations United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29). The PPEU cannot rush to issue climate-related statements! Before we do, we must listen to the totally reputable Visegrád24, which is now an essential news and information source for many European Pirates.
The European Pirate Party deserves all the praise and congratulations the political world can give. It tenaciously refsisted the voices of the “woke Social Justice Warriors” for a ceasefire in Gaza and for the recognition of Palestinians as human beings! It resisted the shrill “leftist snowflakes” that shriek about the climate, but in reality want the “Global North” to plant money trees for the lazy “Global South”! Additionally, in a move that is a prime example of true diligence and seriousness, it decided this time to not publish the minutes of the sessions immediately, but do it at a later, more convenient time. Finally, true to the purely computer nerd roots of the Pirate Movement, the PPEU fought for your inalienable right to continue playing Ubisoft’s “The Crew”, an all-important right about which no “mainstream” party dares talk, leaving the poor gamers at the mercy of the big video game publishers!
One might wonder why we describe the Council in such a sarcastic manner. We are afraid there is no other way to depict the pitiful reality of the PPEU. Clinging on to the historically illiterate axiom concerning the “obsolete Left-Center-Right axis” and to the dogma of an ill-conceived “political flexibility”, it has become now an apolitical entity, concerned only with organizational and administrative matters. So, the PPEU has withdrawn from any actual formulation and practice of politics, creating a political vacuum.
Within the context of this entity, the PPGR is now left as the sole Pirate Party that historically and consistently, in every Council it participates, submits concrete, concise, and clear political proposals, placing the other Pirate Parties before their responsibility to fill this political vacuum.
Within this framework, we Greek Pirates feel obliged to pursue the following course of action:
- Promote the reinforcement of the political dialog and cooperation between interested member parties of the PPEU, focusing on the formulation of common political positions on international developments and truly important matters that emerge, such as the climate catastrophe, the state of lawlessness in international relations, the threat of a global nuclear holocaust, the planned, profit-driven degradation (enshittification) of all aspects of human activity, the threats to freedom of expression, and so on.
- Contribute to the return of the Pirate Movement to the essence of its ideology.
- Exert pressure to a fundamental overhaul of the procedures of the PPEU’s Council, aiming to place emphasis on the development and promotion of political positions and the strengthening of the Pirate Movement’s presence of the political and social scene.
- Promote the strengthening of the communication and active participation of member parties in the decision-making process and the activities of the PPEU.

Το 17ο Συνέδριο του Ευρωπαϊκού Πειρατικού Κόμματος
Με απόλυτη επιτυχία ολοκληρώθηκαν οι εργασίες του 17ου Συνεδρίου του Ευρωπαϊκού Πειρατικού Κόμματος (European Pirate Party – PPEU) που διεξήχθη στην Πράγα μεταξύ 23 και 24 Νοέμβρη 2024. Η συλλογικότητα που εκφράζει κι ενώνει το δοξασμένο Πειρατικό Κίνημα, εστιάζοντας στα πραγματικά σοβαρά προβλήματα του καιρού μας, αποφάσισε να καταγγείλει τη βιομηχανία βιντεοπαιχνιδιών για τη διαρκή παραβίαση των Οδηγιών 93/13/ΕΟΚ and 2011/83/ΕΕ: συγκεκριμένα, το Συνέδριο του PPEU καταγγέλλει τη βιομηχανία βιντεοπαιχνιδιών για την καταχρηστική της πρακτική να καθιστά μη λειτουργικά και μη διαθέσιμα βιντεοπαιχνίδια που οι καταναλωτές αγόρασαν, όταν η παραγωγός εταιρεία αποφασίζει να πάψει να τα υποστηρίζει.
Με απαράμιλλο αίσθημα ευθύνης, το Συνέδριο του PPEU αποφάσισε να αναβάλει για το Φεβρουάριο του 2025 τη συζήτηση επί ψηφίσματος για τη συνεχιζόμενη γενοκτονία στη Γάζα που κατατέθηκε από το Κόμμα Πειρατών Ελλάδας. Άλλωστε, χωρίς απόφαση δικαστηρίου, δε μπορούμε να μιλάμε για γενοκτονία και να παραβιάζουμε το τεκμήριο της αθωότητας του Μπίμπι! Χώρια που το Ευρωπαϊκό Πειρατικό Κόμμα φρονεί ότι τέτοια θέματα είναι πάρα πολύ σοβαρά για να εκδίδονται ψηφίσματα «εν θερμώ» και υπό την επιρροή των «tankies» και των «ακροαριστερών woke». Ανάλογα, αποφεύχθηκαν συζητήσεις επί της Συνόδου για την Κλιματική Αλλαγή COP29. Δε μπορεί το PPEU να εκδίδει έτσι βιαστικά ανακοινώσεις για το κλίμα! Πρώτα θα πρέπει να ενημερωθούμε κι από το πάρα πολύ έγκριτο anti-woke σάιτ Visegrád24, που αποτελεί πλέον βασική πηγή ενημέρωσης για αρκετούς Ευρωπαίους Πειρατές.
Το Ευρωπαϊκό Πειρατικό Κόμμα αξίζει τα θερμά συγχαρητήρια όλου του πολιτικού κόσμου. Αντιστάθηκε σθεναρά και με γενναιότητα στις «woke» φωνές των «δικαιωματιστών» για κατάπαυση πυρός στη Γάζα και για αναγνώριση των Παλαιστινίων ως ανθρώπων! Αντιστάθηκε στους «ευαισθητούληδες» που σκούζουν για το κλίμα και συνεχώς ζητάνε λεφτόδεντρα! Επιπλέον, σε μια κίνηση που δείχνει πραγματική επιμέλεια και σοβαρότητα, αποφάσισε αυτή τη φορά να μην καταστήσει άμεσα διαθέσιμα τα πρακτικά του Συνεδρίου, αλλά να τα δημοσιεύσει εν ευθέτω χρόνω. Τέλος, πιστό στην αμιγώς computer nerd καταγωγή του, αγωνίστηκε για το αναφαίρετο δικαίωμά σας να συνεχίσετε να παίζετε το «The Crew» της Ubisoft ακόμα κι όταν αυτή έχει αποφασίσει να ξεχάσει την ύπαρξή του. Κανένα από τα «mainstream» κόμματα δεν τολμά να μιλήσει γι’αυτά τα τόσο σημαντικά θέματα, αφήνοντας έτσι τους gamers στο έλεος των μεγάλων εταιρειών!
Ίσως αυτή η τόσο καυστική περιγραφή του Συνεδρίου να προκαλεί απορία. Δυστυχώς, αποτυπώνει την οικτρή πραγματικότητα του Ευρωπαϊκού Πειρατικού Κόμματος. Έχοντας πιαστεί από την εντελώς εσφαλμένη αναφορά σε «ξεπερασμένο» άξονα Αριστεράς-Κέντρου-Δεξιάς κι από το δόγμα μιας κακώς εννοούμενης «ευελιξίας», αποτελεί πλέον μια εντελώς απολιτίκ οντότητα με αμιγώς συντονιστικό-οργανωτικό χαρακτήρα. Έτσι, το PPEU έχει αποσυρθεί από την πραγματική άσκηση και διαμόρφωση πολιτικής, δημιουργώντας ένα πολιτικό κενό.
Μέσα σ’αυτή την οντότητα, το Κόμμα Πειρατών Ελλάδας είναι πλέον το μοναδικό Πειρατικό Κόμμα που ιστορικά, σε κάθε Συνέδριο καταθέτει συγκεκριμένες και ξεκάθαρες πολιτικές προτάσεις, θέτοντας έτσι τα υπόλοιπα Πειρατικά Κόμματα προ των ευθυνών τους για την κάλυψη αυτου του πολιτικού κενού.
Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο, ως Κόμμα Πειρατών Ελλάδας, θεωρούμε χρέος μας να προχωρήσουμε στις ακόλουθες ενέργειες και δεσμευόμαστε να το πράξουμε:
- Προώθηση της ενίσχυσης του πολιτικού διαλόγου και της συνεργασίας μεταξύ των κομμάτων-μελών του Ευρωπαϊκού Κόμματος Πειρατών, εστιάζοντας στη διαμόρφωση κοινών πολιτικών θέσεων σχετικά με τις διεθνείς εξελίξεις και τα αληθινά φλέγοντα θέματα που έρχονται στην επιφάνεια, όπως η κλιματική καταστροφή, το κλίμα ανομίας στις διεθνείς σχέσεις, η απειλή παγκόσμιου πυρηνικού ολοκαυτώματος, η μεθοδευμένη κερδοσκοπική υποβάθμιση (enshittification) κάθε τομέα της ανθρώπινης δραστηριότητας, οι πρωτογνωρες απειλές για την ελευθερία του λόγου κ.α.
- Συμβολή στην επιστροφή του Πειρατικού Κινήματος στην ουσία της Πειρατικής Ιδεολογίας.
- Πίεση προς τη θεμελιώδη αναθεώρηση των συνεδριακών διαδικασιών του Ευρωπαϊκού Πειρατικού Κόμματος, με σκοπό την έμφαση στην ανάπτυξη και προώθηση πολιτικής, καθώς και την πραγματοποίηση ουσιαστικών παρεμβάσεων στο κοινωνικό και πολιτικό γίγνεσθαι.
- Προιώθηση της ενίσχυσης της επικοινωνίας και της ενεργού συμμετοχής των κομμάτων-μελών στη λήψη αποφάσεων και στις δραστηριότητες του Ευρωπαϊκού Κόμματος Πειρατών.

Επιτέλους ένταλμα σύλληψης για τον εγκληματία Νετανιάχου
Η έκδοση εντάλματος σύλληψης εναντίον των εγκληματιών πολέμου Μπένιαμιν Νετανιάχου και Γιοάβ Γκάλαντ από το Διεθνές Ποινικό Δικαστήριο καθυστέρησε τραγικά, αλλά είναι καλοδεχούμενο. Είναι ένα βήμα προς την κατεύθυνση της λογοδοσίας για όλους και στέλνει προς πάσα κατεύθυνση το μήνυμα ότι κανένα κράτος και κανένας πολιτικός, ανεξαρτήτως σημαίας, θρησκείας ή φυλής, δε μπορεί να είναι πάνω και πέρα από τους Νόμους.
Το Κόμμα Πειρατών Ελλάδας, αν και εκφράζει την απογοήτευσή του για την τεράστια αυτή καθυστέρηση, χαιρετίζει την έκδοση του εντάλματος σύλληψης. Ως κόμμα, πιστοί στην πειρατική ιδεολογία, καλούμε όλες τις κυβερνήσεις του κόσμου να το τηρήσουν και να σεβαστούν τις επισημάνσεις του Διεθνούς Δικαστηρίου της Χάγης και να σταματήσουν να διευκολύνουν τη γενοκτονία που διαπράττει το Ισραήλ, ανεξαρτήτως του τρόπου με τον οποίο έχουν επιλέξει να το πράττουν.
Καταδικάζουμε με βδελυγμία την απόρριψη του εντάλματος από την αμερικανική κυβέρνηση, η οποία δείχνει ξεκάθαρα ότι οι ΗΠΑ έχουν βαλθεί να ακολουθήσουν την έκνομη πορεία της Ρωσίας του Πούτιν προκειμένου να βοηθήσουν το διεφθαρμένο, ακροδεξιό, ρατσιστικό, γενοκτονικό καθεστώς του Ισραήλ. Χαρακτηριστικό της εκτός διεθνούς νομιμότητας θέσης των ΗΠΑ είναι ο άθλιος νόμος Hague Invasion Act” (American Service-Members’ Protection Act) του 2002, με τον οποίο οι ΗΠΑ απειλούν με εισβολή την Ολλανδία σε περίπτωση που το ΔΠΔ παραπέμψει σε δίκη αξιωματικό ή σύμμαχό τους. Δυνάμει αυτού του άθλιου νομοθετήματος, Αμερικανοί γερουσιαστές εκτοξεύουν πολεμικές απειλές. Καταδικάζουμε εκ των προτέρων κάθε πολιτικό, κάθε διπλωμάτη και κάθε κυβέρνηση που θα επιχειρήσει να υποβαθμίσει ή να υπονομεύσει το ένταλμα και το Διεθνές Ποινικό Δικαστήριο.
Ως Πειρατές, απαιτούμε η διεθνής νομιμότητα να μην είναι κενό γράμμα. Απαιτούμε πραγματική λογοδοσία για κάθε πολιτικό, για κάθε στρατιωτικό, για κάθε διπλωμάτη, για κάθε κυβέρνηση.
